01
A better experience for both ends of the leash.
A pet owner rarely visits a veterinary website just to admire it.
They need something.
Maybe their dog is due for a vaccination. Maybe they've just adopted a kitten. Maybe they're looking for a new veterinarian close to home.
Whatever the reason, people want clear information, reassurance and an easy way to reach the right person.
For Pico Vet, we focused on making those everyday interactions simpler.
02 The challenge
Good veterinary care shouldn't begin with a frustrating website.
Veterinary clinics serve people with very different needs.
Some visitors are researching preventive care. Others want information about a specific service. Many simply need contact details or an appointment.
When this information is poorly organised, even simple tasks take longer than necessary.
The goal was to make the essential information accessible while giving the clinic a professional, reassuring digital presence.
03
First, we made the important things easy to find.
We reorganised the experience around the actions visitors are most likely to take.
Services are clearly categorised. Contact details and opening hours are easy to locate. Appointment requests have a visible entry point, and urgent-care information is kept separate from routine booking.
The design uses approachable typography, welcoming photography and a calm colour palette.
04
An appointment shouldn't take an afternoon.
We designed a simple appointment request journey.
Visitors provide their contact details, pet information, reason for visiting and preferred availability.
The clinic receives a structured request, reducing the need to collect the same information repeatedly.
Clear confirmation messaging explains what happens next without implying that an appointment is booked before the practice confirms it.
05
Built for a bilingual city.
Brussels is home to both French-speaking and Dutch-speaking pet owners.
Pico Vet's digital experience supports both languages, giving visitors clear access to services, practical information and appointment requests in their preferred language.
Accessibility also shaped the experience, from readable contrast and keyboard navigation to comfortably sized interactive elements.
The results
The impact
Monthly averages · Before & after
- online appointment requests
- +49%
- in form completion
- +14 pp
- administrative processing time per request
- −31%
| Metric | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Website sessions | 1,500 | 1,770 |
| Online appointment requests | 57 | 85 |
| Appointment request conversion | 3.80% | 4.80% |
| Appointment form completion | 62% | 76% |
| Average processing time per request | 5.4 min | 3.7 min |
The comparison represents 28 additional appointment requests per month, alongside a shorter average handling time.
Appointment requests are distinct from confirmed bookings. Processing time compares equivalent staff handling tasks; form completion compares recorded starts with successful submissions.
More time for what matters.
The strongest digital experiences aren't always the most complicated.
For Pico Vet, the priority was helping owners access information, reach the practice and arrange routine care with fewer unnecessary steps.
A calmer, clearer website helps create a better experience for clients and a more organised workflow for the team.
Better information. Easier appointments. More time for care.
